RSS FEED

01/17/23

The Cummington website now has an automatic RSS feed. There should be an orange icon with a white dot in the lower left corner and two white curved lines radiating out from the dot (supposed to represent radio waves) somewhere in the top portion of your browser depending on which browser you are using. This is the standard icon for RSS. RSS stands for really simple syndication. This function allows users with an RSS reader to be notified when a new article is present on a particular website. Some newer browsers have the RSS reader built into them. When you click on the icon you will get a summary of the articles in the feed. If you go to the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, or any other news website you will see a similar feature that allows you to keep track of breaking stories.

The RSS feed is automatically built from all of the articles and minutes that have been posted to the website in the last 30 days.
