The Cemetery Committee maintains the Cummington burial plot records and is responsible for assigning burial plots to those wishing to reserve a burial plot in Cummington.  Over the years several people have given the Town of Cummington bequests that have been put in trust funds for the maintenance of the Cummington cemeteries.  These trust funds have not generated sufficient money to pay for the maintenance of the cemeteries, so the Town of Cummington has instituted fees for the reservation of burial plots.
